A Day on the Farm
Each day on the farm has been designed to ensure you get to see and do lots of different activities. Our mission is to make sure you get to the end of the day with a big smile and lots of great memories.
Below is an example of a typical day on the farm:
8:00am: Breakfast – cooked / continental country style breakfast with local produce for you to enjoy
9:00am: Our day visitors arrive – quick stop off for a cup of tea or coffee at the BBQ area
9:15am: Meet at the BBQ area and then all aboard the tractor for our Farmyard Tasks. First stop is the Farmyard Nursery. Here we milk the cow, collect eggs and feed the farm animals
10:30am: Pony Rides– if you are under the age of 8, then the ponies are just for you
11:00am: Horse Rides (optional) ($65.00 per person for 1 hour: $95.00 per person for 2hr afternoon ride). If you are over the age of 8, saddle up – your horse ride is about to begin
If you’re not interested in a horse ride you can enjoy many of the self supervised activities. Check in with the Mowbray Park team for ideas and equipment.
1:30pm: Pony Rides
2:00pm: Horse Ride (we have both our 1 hour and 2 hour rides leaving at this time)
2:00pm-3:00pm: Maybe one ride a day is enough for you? That’s okay, there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy: canoeing, archery, tennis, swimming, bush walking. Maybe you would like to kick a ball on the sports ground or just curl up under a tree with a good book. Check in with the Mowbray Park team for equipment and directions.
3:00pm: Depending on the day we might relax around the campfire for billy tea & damper or head out in the paddock to try boomerang throwing and whip cracking. If it’s a bit wet then a perfect opportunity to head out on a tractor ride to feed the cattle.
5:00pm: Our day visitors leave – thanks for coming!
5:30pm: Children’s Dinner (included when booking Kids Club – available weekends and holidays)
6:00pm – 8:00pm: Kids Club (available weekends & school holidays)
7:30pm: Sometimes we host an Aussie-Sing-Along, movie night or sit around a camp fire to toast some marshmallows. We will let you know as the day unfolds.
