We want to share with you some of our favourite places here in the Macarthur & Wollondilly shires, so much to do and see and so close to Sydney.

When you are having that great weekend on our farm you may not get the chance to explore the area, these are some other great places to stay and visit:

If you need to be that little bit closer to the city or airport then the award winning Narellan Motor Inn is a great place to stay for the weekend or for the business traveller mid-week.

Now that we have you accommodated you need to get out there and do things! check out this great web sit www.visitwollondilly.com.au  History  abounds in this area, the first grapes planted in Australia come from here and their decendants produce to this day. The birth place of the Australian Wool Industry is here, visit the tourist information centres and get moving.

For the history buffs you will need many weekends here! A good start would be The Oaks Heritage Centre www.oaksheritagecentre.com from there you can head up to the Burragorang Lookout and see a truly remarkable World Heritage Park.
Pick up the harvest trail from there www.hawksburyharvest.com.au and buy direct from the farmer.
The train spotters will have to visit the largest train museum in the Southern Hemisphere

Feeling the need for speed? Picton Karting Track has great hire Karts and even better facilities. The guys can organize your group event or just drop by and have a drive. www.pkt.net.au

Once you are back to Earth and you want to just chill a bit then check Picton out. Cafe's resturants, historic old pubs, visit the Picton tourist information centre and find out about some great bush walks in the area.

There is so much to see and do in the Macarthur & Wollondilly region and you would hardly use a tank of fuel to see it! So come and discover your own backyard. You might even do what we did, came back to live.
