Jacqui (The Real Boss)
Jacqui Briggs and her husband Blair took over management of Mowbray Park FarmStay in 2007.
Jacqui’s parents bought the farm back in 1972 she moved here soon after. Over the years she has worked in every part of the farmstay business helping her family run the holiday camps.
Jacqui’s experience at the farm is very broad her first goal after taking over was to improve the lot of the horses. She had been a student of natural Horsemanship for many years. Jacqui trained to become a Natural Horsemanship Instructor – a goal she achieved in 2013.
The main philosophy of Natural Horsemanship is a life long commitment to a better understanding and partnership with horses.
Today Jacqui teachers students of all ages, the infrastructure at Mowbray Park is suited for this purpose. During school holidays children between the age of 8 and 16yrs stay on the farm for 5 days learning from Jacqui and her team the foundations of natural horsemanship.
At different times of the year she will offer demonstrations with her horses, always a popular activity.
