Mowbray Park Farm has a rich history dating back to the early days of European settlement in Australia. All around the property you get this sense of time and history, the modern mixing with the old. The History of Mowbray Park Farm began in 1822 and is a story which includes many alumni of early Australian settlement.
The farmstay came into existence in the early 1980’s and over the following 35+ years has evolved into one of the preeminent farm experiences in Australia. It has always been family owned and operated.
Today the business is managed by Jacqui and Blair Briggs, the daughter and son-in-law of Dr Couch and his wife Margaret.
An extensive program of improvements has occurred since they came onto the property. Their aim, to provide an enhanced farm experience for all visitors. This management team has also increased the emphasis on agricultural output which has the property echoing it’s illustrious past. Improvements and updates to the colonial lodges is ongoing, whilst maintaining their heritage charm.
Both Blair and Jacqui are passionate about the role Mowbray Park Farmstay has in the local, national and international community. They recognise that agriculture is a past we all share and a future we all need.
A visit to Mowbray Park will enlighten, educate and entertain people of all ages as we share with you our way of life. Over the years Mowbray Park Farmstay has been both finalists and winners of many Awards.
