A Day on the Farm
Each day on the farm has been designed to ensure you get to see and do lots of different activities. Our mission is to make sure you get to the end of your day with a big smile, lots of great memories and a heap of photos.
Below is an example of a typical day on the farm:
8:00am: Breakfast – cooked / continental country style
9:00am: Our day visitors arrive – quick stop off for a cup of tea or coffee at the BBQ area
9:15am: Meet at the BBQ area for our morning program – check the noticeboard to confirm activities of the day
1:30pm: Pony Rides
2:00pm: Horse Ride ($70.00pp – 8yrs and above. Minimum 4 riders)
3:00pm: Refer to our noticeboard to confirm activities of the day
5:00pm: Our day visitors leave – thanks for coming!
6:00pm: Dinner (6:30pm on Fridays – traffic friendly time)
7:00pm: Sometimes we host an Aussie-Sing-Along, movie night or sit around a camp fire to toast some marshmallows. We will let you know as the day unfolds.
As programs vary we inform you on arrival what our plan is for the day. Programs include a combination of some (not all) of the following activities: feeding the nursery animals, cow milking, tractor ride, boomerang throwing, whip cracking, billy tea & damper, hay ride to feed cattle / sheep.
If you are not participating in supervised activities there are plenty of other things to keep you busy during the day: canoeing, archery, tennis, swimming, bush walking. Bring a fishing rod and try your luck (catch and release); there is plenty of space to ride around so throw in your bicycle as well! Maybe you would like to kick a ball on the sports field or just curl up under a tree with a good book. Check in with the Mowbray Park team for equipment and directions.
