A Day on the Farm

Tractor leaves BBQ area at 9.15am

A day in the life of Mowbray Park Farm

It’s pretty action packed in the morning with supervised activities up until lunch time. Be at the BBQ area for tractor departure 9.30am we’re away to the animal nursery the kids get busy here, feeding  the Donkey some annoying sheep . Tom-tom the shed cat might come out and say g’day then we have milking, getting grass for the bunnies, see if the Chickens laid some eggs ? From the nursery it’s time for the pony rides for our youngest guests on the farm after this we’ll squeeze in another activity before lunch.

After lunch you can plan your afternoon around doing as much or as little as you like with self supervised fun to discover such as; archery, swimming, tennis, canoeing. bushwalks, fishing (BYO rod), cycling (BYO bike)  find a quiet spot to read or play some games down at the sports field.

Each day on the farm has been designed to ensure you get to see and do lots of different activities. Our mission is to make sure you get to the end of your day with a big smile, lots of great memories and a heap of photos.

Below is an example of a typical day on the farm:

 

9:00am: Our day visitors arrive – quick stop off for a cup of tea or coffee at the BBQ area, public toilets are in this area.

9:15am:   Meet at the BBQ area for our morning program

9.30am    The tractor departs for the animal nursery, let the fun begin.

10.30am   Nursery to ponies

11.30am    Another activity

12:30pm: BYO Lunch

1.30pm    The day is yours

Self supervised fun on the farm, discover and do

5:00pm: Our day visitors leave – thanks for coming!

6:00pm: Sit around a camp fire to toast some marshmallows or maybe we’ll have a movie night. We will let you know as the day unfolds.

As programs vary we inform you on arrival what our plan is for the day. Programs include a combination of some (not all) of the following activities: feeding the nursery animals, cow milking, tractor ride, boomerang throwing, whip cracking, damper, hay ride to feed cattle / sheep, damper cooking.
